We’re all guilty of it. Comparing ourselves to someone else. Checking out that girls body in the gym, how much they lift, how much they workout, or how much weight they’ve lost. “Fitness is not about being better than someone else… it’s about being better than you used to be.” This is such an important reminder that we should all keep in mind no matter what stage or fitness level we are at. If we’re always comparing ourselves to someone else, we will never find true happiness and joy in the progress we have made.
Unfortunately, most people walk around feeling better than or less than others. Turn that frustration or intimidation into inspiration! Find a measurable goal you would like to achieve. Write it down and find a way to track your progress weekly.
Find a way to be better than you used to be, and find joy in the journey and progress you make.
