April Photo Challenge

Its April and we are SO excited about it! Warm weather, smoothies, and pool time are just around the corner. Have you ever done a “Photo a Day” challenge? If you haven’t, you’re missing out! Heres how it works: Every day of the month has a different theme (see image below). The goal is to post a photo  to Instagram each day according to the theme for the entire month of April. Use the hashtags #foodfitfab and #fffphotoaday so that we can all follow along with everyone!

Day 1: Fun Fact About {Me} Our Editor in Chief

Screen Shot 2014-04-01 at 3.57.31 PMI was a gymnast for 17 years, which is where I found my passion for living a healthy lifestyle at a very early age. This photo was taken during my NCAA career at Southern Utah University.

Day 2: Clean


Its that time of year again- spring cleaning! Meet my new favorite cleaning tool: the Shark Rocket. Click here to read why we love it and don’t forget to grab our printable Spring Cleaning checklist while you’re there!

Day 3: Shoes


“Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world” -Marilyn Monroe. Ran the Nike Women’s Half Marathon in these shoes! If you haven’t heard of the Nike Womens Marathon, its amazing! Every finisher receives a Tiffany & Co necklace at the finish line!

Day 4: Song


Every Thursday at Hot Pilates we cool down to this song and I just love it! This song is clearly not about working out but after getting your booty kicked and “giving it your all” it seems to have a completely different meaning!

Day 5: Brunch


Breakfast burrito with scallions, red onions, tomatoes, roasted Anaheim chilies, turkey sausage, salsa, and avocado in a spinach wrap. (From Greens and Proteins.)

Day 6: Radiant Orchid


Raise your hand if you love the Pantone color of the year as much as we do!

Day 7: Workout


Would you rather work out with or without a workout buddy? For me it depends on the day and the workout! Today’s workout was a mile run, our Lean Leg Lunge Workout, and a good ab set!

Day 8: What Im Reading


Living In Style by Rachel Zoe. Love it!

 Day 9: In My Kitchen


3 things I love in my kitchen right now: Chia seeds, my Blendtec, and Noosa Yoghurt!

Day 10: Quote


No matter what that “thing” is… you can do it! The feeling of accomplishing something you didn’t think you could is the best!

Day 11: Love

Celebrated love at a beautiful wedding at Cactus and Tropicals tonight!

Day 12: Favorite Product



These are a few faces I packed for my weekend trip: Hourglass Cosmetics Immaculate foundation, OPI “got a date to-knight” nail polish (perfect for spring!) and my Anastasia Brow Kit!

Day 13: View From My Window

This was the view from my window during my little trip to SLC. City Creek Center where  I did a little too much shopping and not enough working out :-0 Happy to be back in Vegas and ready for a fun and healthy week! And if you don’t know what to make for dinner tomorrow just wait until you see tomorrow’s post!

Day 14: New


My new MadeByMary Designs necklace! This picture doesn’t even do it justice. Its perfect and we want to order everything in her shop right this second!

Day 15: 3 Things


Spring always brings us plenty of gorgeous new makeup, hair, and nail trends and today on the blog we are sharing 3 of our favorite fresh from the runway Spring Makeup trends!

Day 16: Accomplishment


One of my favorite accomplishments this past year was completing the Nike Women’s Half Marathon in San Francisco. When I started training I could barely run 2 miles and felt like I just wasn’t built to be a runner. I pushed myself physically and mentally and although training wasn’t always fun, crossing the finish line made it all worth it… Especially since every finisher received a Tiffany necklace! 😉 Tag #foodfitfab in a photo with one of your favorite accomplishments.
