Well its that time of year where eggs are boiled, decorated, and enjoyed by many. Boiling an egg is a very simple process, but we have found there are so many different ways to boil eggs. Today we’re sharing what we think is the best way to boil an egg!
Make sure you refrigerate your eggs prior to boiling them. You will have better results if your eggs are cold before boiling them.
Tip: Eggs that are a few days old turn out better than fresh eggs.
Place eggs in the pan and add enough water to cover the top of the eggs. Too much water in the pan can cause cracked eggs and increased boiling time. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the water. Some people add a dash of vinegar to the water as well to make them easier to peel, however it can alter the taste so we leave that step out!
Bring to a boil. Once the water has reached a full boil, turn the heat to low. Set a timer for 10 minutes. Remove the pan from the burner and drain the water. Fill the pan with cold water and allow the eggs to cool for about 10 minutes.
